Recipe: Honey Pot Hot Cacao

Cacao is an incredible plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years by people of the Mayan culture.

It is a potent healing and heart-opening elixir containing wisdom from papatuanuku, and is used in ceremony to help us connect with our heart space. Often cacao can leave us feeling blissful, grounded and with our hearts wide open to receive.

Using cacao daily can be a wonderful way to support your mind-body wellness, while also creating space in your day to practice setting an intention. Here is our gooey little cacao recipe.

Here is the latest blend of ingredients we are using to make the dreamiest cacao.

Honey Pot Cacao Recipe

Ingredients:
◌ 15-20grams cacao paste
OR
◌ 2tbsp cacao powder
◌ 1/4 tsp cacao butter (or coconut oil)

Combined with:
◌ 1 tsp honey or coconut sugar (adjust to your desired sweetness)
◌ Dash of cinnamon
◌ 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
◌ Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional but delicious!)
◌ 1/2 cup of water
◌ 1/2 coconut cream
◌ A big dose of love

The above quantities are per person - so add 2x for 2 people, 3x for 3 and so on!

Directions:
Pop all ingredients in a pot, then the trick is to bring it to a rapid boil (careful it does not overflow!) Once boiled let it simmer away for a wee while to get thick. A pot with a solid base also helps. Use a whisk to get it frothy or you can cheat and put it in the blender. Remember before you serve to stir in your love and set an intention.

Enjoy! ♡
